Random Acts of Kindness

There are some truly inspirational women out there & we have been privileged & somewhat overwhelmed by the stories sent through to us as part of VANCHIOperation Random Acts of Kindness. So much so, that we have been UNABLE to choose just 1 winner & have decided to reward 5 women with the VANCHI nappy bag of their choice. We also want to recognize another 5 women by sending them a $100 VANCHI gift certificate

We will be announcing one winner and one runner up here on the blog every day this week. Make sure to keep checking to see if your nominee has won!

Todays winner is Melissa. Nominated by her husband.

"My wife has inspired me with her strenth, selflessness and ability to guide our family through the birth of our 2nd daughter at 25+2 weeks gestation and a mere 710 grams. Our daughter was airlifted to hospital 90 minutes after birth and spent the first 9 weeks of her life in NICU in Melbourne which is 4 hours away from our home. My wife moved herself and our 9 year old daughter to Melbourne so she could spend most of the day and night by our baby's side. She homeschooled our eldest daughter in the cafeteria at the hospital in the hope of making the situation easier and less disruptive for her. Our baby was airlifted back to Wodonga Hospital and spent a further 6 weeks in special care nursery here in Wodonga. Since our daughter has come home, my wife has spent many nights awake with a severly refluxy baby. Not once has she complained about anything. Her needs are put last after our needs no matter what. She is a gorgeous person with a heart of gold and I am so proud to call her my wife and the mother to my children. To win this bag for her would be a great way of showing our appreciation to her for everything she has done for us over the last 4 months. "

And the runner up was nominated by her best friend Jane

A lot of people are in financial hardship these days, but my bestie still manages to put herself last. Its her birthday this week, and with number two on the way. I remember searching high and low for a funky nappy bag with number one at an affordable price, with no luck. She bought bits and peices and made up her own ok looking bag. She has now pulled that same bag out of the cupboard to "fix" up for number two. I know how much she would love one of these funky, fabulous bags, but I myself am off work for medical reasons and unable to afford to get her one as a gift, as much as I would love to....... I would love to see the excitement in her face to receive one of these bags..... She is the best bestie!!!! And Mum!!!

The wonderful people who nominated these incredibly deserving winners will be contacted via email shortly.

Make sure to check back here tomorrow for more touching Random Acts of Kindness winners stories.
